Scarf up date here is a picture of it but it looks sloppy so I'm tearing it out and starting over maybe next time it will look better so I'm happy with it.

A shawl I'm trying to finish and it is giving me a headache.

Well I guess there is a first for every thing, this shawl is my first knitted shawl. I made it for my niece Tina and from her phone call she was not only surprised when she received it but loved the shawl.

I just finished my sweater and I'm very happy with it, it was very interesting to wash the fiber, flick it, spin it then knit it, which thank God for Jacqueline Fee yahoo group , Jackie was awesome helping me and from her book "The Sweater Workshop" and my friend Carol who said, I could do it.

I'm so happy with it and will really love it this coming winter.

I did not get a doffer with the drum carder so I took the sharpner out of one set of knives we have, it works great to lift up the fibers off of the drum carder.

Then I needed something to take the fiber off with---in the book "Teach Your Self Visually Handspinning" by Judith MacKenzie McCuin, she shows how she uses a dowel with plastic attached to it for the slicker and it works wonderful my DH made one for me right away. Great items and easy to get.

It has been some time since I have posted. I've been doing a lot of spinning and I'm now knitting a sweater with the fiber I have spun.

The fun part is I have bought a new wheel "Louet Victoria" it is real light weight and easy to carry. Next I bought a Drum Carder which I just love

The next thing that made my day was getting the quilt back that I had made last summer. Bobbie from the "Quilted Hill" quilted it for me and boy does she do a fabulous job. The next quilt I'm working on will also be quilted by Bobbie but I've been working on it for about 2 +years so I really need to finish appliqueing it so I can get it done.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year we stayed home we were sort of snowed in and I loved it. We have not had this much snow since 1968 after a few weeks I hated to see it leave.

We loved to see the deer come around and they ate what apples that were left, we loved them.

Well I love snow and for the last few days we have received some 5" so far and more to come in the next day or two.

It has been awhile since I did these quilts, but they were done out of shirts from my DH Aunts husbands shirts after he passed away, it was a way for her to remember him.
He had tons of Pendleton shirts, there are two that is not shown but they pretty much looks like the one on the chair. I asked his Aunt to please take pictures and send them to me, they sure look different on her furniture than in my sewing room. She was pleased.

Well today was a full day of fun knitting at our local LYS, here are a few pictures I took today. The top one with the bag was a gift for each of us at the class, the second one was a drawing I won, the third one was some yarn we all traded for, the 4th one was the final prize won by my Pal Brenda and she already had it so we traded I'm giving her a sock kit I have, the last one is yarn I bought to use for all the fun ideas we received today in class.
